There they are, the last three songs. The Internet’s For Porn, Don’t Know How To Say This and I Love My Life. With awesome artwork by Linda van Bruggen and Ype Driessen. And backing vocals by my friend Hinne! Go check it out!
And you can buy the entire album for €8,99 in the iTunes Store:
Online for free download now: Attention, The Secret and Are You Serious. With awesome artwork by Joost Vandebrug, Steffie Padmos and Floor de Goede. Go check!
I’ll be releasing my album on the internet the upcoming week! Go to the homepage www.situations.nl to find the first three songs, with lyrics and artwork and a free mp3! Let me know what you think…
I know I’ve said this many times before… but this time it’s true: the album is coming! It’s called ‘Blah Blah Blah, Yeah Yeah Yeah’, and that’s a quote from the first song. The mp3’s will be available for download soon, probably late August. The actual release on iTunes and on cd (with amazing artwork!) will be a little later. Check the video for a preview of the song ‘The Stockholm Subway’!
I took this polaroid two minutes after I finished putting together the artwork for my debut album. You can see the satisfied look on my face, right? The photo will be featured in the artwork next to the sentence: “This album was recorded between 2004-2010.” Ha.
It all looks amazing, every page is a piece of art thanks to all the amazing artists. I also picked a title which I will be revealing later in a short video.
But because I don’t want to leave you with empty hands, here’s two more old songs for free download on Bandcamp:
As promised: the complete list of artists I asked to create a visual for my album artwork! I’m so proud all of them were immediately willing to cooperate and I’m SUPER curious what it will look like. The video above is totally random but beautiful, by Joost.
Today Sander and I returned to the Graveland Studio to make the final def def mix for my album. Check out the video for some previews. Unbelievable, we finished something I started in 2004. (Yay for anyone who sees the typo in the titles…)
Maybe the timing isn’t great, but I guess that was never my strongest point… My band Only Seven Left really seems to hit if off big time, so that takes a lot of energy. But I try to find some time to finish the Impossible Situations album once in a while. Just because it’s such a big personal project that has all my heart in it, I would really love to see this done. I’ll find time, for example next week, when we will be finishing the mix in Graveland Studio, ‘s-Graveland.
Artwork
And! I’m working on the album artwork. Not alone, but with some very talented designers/photographers/artists I asked to make something. Every artist will create a piece for one song. Among them are names like Joost Vandebrug, Floor de Goede, James Spencer, Ype Driessen and Chuck Groenink.
I will reveal the other names later and give them a proper introduction. I’m really stoked all those amazing creative people are willing to cooperate and I’m sure it will be beautiful.
Release
Do I dare to name a release date yet? Yeah, like three years ago. No seriously, don’t pin me down on it, but I think August is doable. Can’t wait, can you?
It’s great you still didn’t forget Impossible Situations and keep requesting songs! So I decided to answer your prayers and put some old songs online, for you to download. Please go to Bandcamp and download the high quality mp3’s for free!
My name is Bram and Impossible Situations is my soloproject. I just released the digital version 'Blah Blah Blah, Yeah Yeah Yeah' and I'm planning on releasing the physical cd this summer. Thanks for visiting!
